WHO ARE WE?
The Espresso Technicians story is one of passion, perseverance, learning and creativity. Proudly New Zealand owned and operated, we have plenty of experience in the coffee industry. Learn more about us below.
Where it all began
In 1995, Mark Hillis began his career in the coffee industry, roasting at Atlas Power Café - located within the Three Lamps area of Ponsonby. His goal - to provide a consistent product that he is proud to serve.
Roasting his own espresso blend gives him the ability to achieve this.
But first, Coffee
Atlas Power Coffee is growing in popularity. We move to a new location when the roasting operation outgrows the setup at the Café.
Our Workshop Opens
We extend our service to include machine maintenance and testing for performance and safety.
This move is done out of necessity to ensure our customer’s espresso machines and grinders are working in a high performance. As well we did this to limit any downtime that occurs if a machine breaks down.
Espresso Technicians is born
Expansion of the service business is required to meet the increasing demand by domestic and commercial customers.
At our workshop we offer a complete package: We repair customer’s machines, provide espresso training,
show them how to clean their machine and we give to them a bag of fresh roasted coffee for them to try at home or
their workplace.
